The share house we visited today is the detached-house share house ‘Nerima Taku-an’. It is a renovated detached house that originally belonged to the owner, who is an architect and interior designer, and that owner actually lives right across the street! Between the share house, which is particular about using natural materials, and the owner’s home, there is a lush green garden that connects the two, giving the place the warm feeling of a family♪ In the garden, there is a pizza oven and a hammock, making it feel as though you have come to visit a vacation home.

Aya “Apparently the owner really does often bake pizza in this homemade oven and hold parties♪ Wowー! It feels less like a share house and more like a real family! It’s so warm and welcoming♪”

Aya “This is what the inside of the kitchen looks like! The sink is wide too, and it seems like you could really enjoy cooking together with the other share house members!”
Kumiko “It’s spacious, and everything is so neatly put awayー! You can cook together and share the food too. That’s not something you can do when living alone.”

Aya “There’s even a compact, refreshing blue bath too!”
Kumiko “You can see the outside scenery too, so it feels like a little open-air bath. It really is just like a vacation home!”

Aya “There’s a big mirror in the dressing room too! You can keep your toothbrush and other things here and keep everything feeling clean and tidy!”
Kumiko “The mirror is hugeー! And there’s storage to keep things neat too, so tidying up is easy.”

Aya “You can hang laundry out on the balcony too!”
Kumiko “You can hang out your futon tooー! And you can see the main tree from here as well◎”

Aya “The terrace on the first floor is open and airy too! There’s greenery everywhere!”

This is a share house that makes you feel as though you have come to visit a vacation home. The garden full of nature hardly feels like Tokyo at all. The share mates were making all kinds of things using vegetables harvested from the garden.
