A large social apartment complex renovated into a studio-apartment building.

Today we came to the property just a 3-minute walk from Ikebukuro, “Mate Ikebukuro”!
Originally a monthly-rental apartment that has been renovated into a share house, it offers one-room–level living plus extra amenities unique to share houses.
Since it’s so close to the station… wouldn’t the rooms be small and the rent high?
That’s what we thought, but we were surprised when we heard the room sizes and the rent!
It’s a share house with a lovely Southern European–style dining area. Pets are even allowed.
Let’s go take a look!

Arisa “With the spacious entrance and the auto-lock, women can feel secure!”
Kumiko “It’s roomy, and there are individual mailboxes too, so privacy is well protected.”

Kumiko “Look! Such a beautiful dining area! The lamps and furniture are stylish—just like a café.”
Arisa “Totally! In this warm, Southern European–style café room, girl talk would really flow♪”

Arisa “By the sunlit window, you could relax while reading.”
Kumiko “The orange chairs go so well with the blue wall♪ You can unwind by the window.”

Arisa “It’d be nice to gather here, enjoy girl talk, and have a meal♪”
Kumiko “The table is so long—you could even make bread or hold a cooking class.”

Arisa “With the all-electric kitchen, you could host home parties☆”
Kumiko “All the cookware is provided, so you can use the kitchen from moving day. You could even have a welcome party.”

Arisa “This hanging style is cute and looks easy to use♪”
Kumiko “Easy to grab, and so cute to look at—love it♪”

Kumiko “Wow—so much storage! You could even store all the dishes you bring.”
Arisa “It’s great to have plenty of storage♪ There’s a full set of pots, too◎”

Arisa “With glasses and a coffee maker, you can take it easy here morning and night♪”
Kumiko “I’ve always wanted hanging glass racks like these! It has a different mood from the main kitchen.”

Arisa “There are vending machines in the hallway—just like a hotel♪”
Kumiko “Yeah! Going outside just for a drink can be a hassle… Having them inside is so convenient, with lots of choices.”

Arisa “From the 9th-floor corridor windows you can see the cityscape of Ikebukuro ^^”
Kumiko “The big windows make it bright and airy!”

Arisa “Both of us fit into the storage (laughs).”
Kumiko “We fit with room to spare (laughs). With good depth, even big items fit easily.”

Arisa “The simple sink and cooktop are just right for living alone♪”
Kumiko “Because it’s simple, cleaning and tidying are easy♪ Do serious cooking in the lounge☆”

Arisa “Pet-friendly rooms—so happy you can have pets in the city center ^^”
Kumiko “The 2nd and 3rd floors have pet-OK rooms! Pet-loving housemates will become friends fast.”

Arisa “The sink and cooktop are side by side—easy to use.”
Kumiko “The double room also comes with a compact kitchen☆”

Arisa “With a unit bath, it feels like a one-room apartment☆”
Kumiko “A three-piece unit bath—can’t overlook that in a share house!”

Kumiko “Each room has its own shoe closet!”
Arisa “Ample shoe storage—great for women♪”

Arisa “You can see the streets of Ikebukuro from the window♪”
Kumiko “The big windows give a great view outside—it’s soothing.”

Arisa “The study room is great for both students and working adults☆”
Kumiko “Each seat is partitioned, so you can focus without worrying about others.”

Arisa “The laundry has dryers, so no worries on rainy days!”
Kumiko “There are no bedrooms on the first floor where the laundry room is, so you don’t need to worry about noise.”

Arisa “There’s bicycle parking, so cycling around Ikebukuro sounds great♪”
Kumiko “With a bike you can discover new routes and shops—so fun! Perfect for the coming season!”

Arisa “A share house this well-equipped just 3 minutes from the station—so appealing♡”
Kumiko “It’s rare to have in-room wet areas this close to the station. And with a theater, study rooms, and lounges… it’s incredibly attractive!”
