Today we visited the share house "Share La Cat Komagome", located a 10-minute walk from Komagome.
This share house, originally a two-family residence that was renovated, amazingly lets you live together with a kitty!

However, it’s not merely a “pets allowed” property; it’s designed with the comfort of both the kitties and their owners in mind. Cat-specific interior features, flooring, walls, security… and so on—down to details you wouldn’t expect! It’s full of delightful surprises!
With just seven rooms, it’s a small-scale property, and since cat lovers will be moving in, it seems like you could consult one another about shared concerns and, at times, even have someone look after your kitty for a bit.

Manami “What a cute cat tower★ You can choose the cat tower you like yourself. Is there any other share house like that!?”
Kumiko “It’s my first time seeing a cat tower this big at home!! There are so many types that I can’t decide.”

Manami “There are a few worries when you keep a pet, right? Like who takes care of them when you have to go on a business trip, or when they get sick. I think it’s amazing that everyone here can support each other at such times!”
Kumiko “Exactly! Some people can’t start keeping one because of that. Here, everyone can cooperate and help with care. So reassuring!”

Manami “Called and bursting onto the scene—ta-daaa!! A dynamic one-shot of Kotetsu, the black kitty (laugh). Each room has a little window just for kitties.”
Kumiko “The flooring is less slippery, and the walls are resistant to scratches—truly a share house for kitties♪ Both owners and kitties can spend their time comfortably!”

Kumiko “Look, Manami! A cat-shaped sign for the share house! So cute~!”
Manami “Kumi-chan, don’t just focus on the cute sign—check out the security camera behind it. They’ve got SECOM too, so it feels really safe!”

Manami “Even the doormat is, of course, cat-themed♪ You can feel the owner’s strong dedication in the many thoughtful touches for both kitties and people. The walls use pet-friendly wallpaper, so no worries about that troublesome scratching! It’s nothing but love!”
Kumiko “Meow! It’s a doormat, but it’s too cute to step on! (laugh) A share house drenched in cats!”

Manami “Entrances can sometimes lead to accidents where a precious kitty dashes outside, so this one has a proper double-door setup. Kumi-chaaaan, let me in!”
Kumiko “Hold on a sec, Manami-chan! Let me check there’s no kitty here… okay! Come on in!”

Kumiko “The shoe cabinet is huge! You don’t need to keep shoes in your room. This storage capacity really makes girls happy!”
Manami “Such a well-equipped shoe cabinet!! The rooms in this Share La Cat also have surprisingly large storage—so impressive.”

Manami “Kumi-chan, did you know? You can read that ‘Neko no Kimochi’ here for free.”
Kumiko “It’s my first time reading it! Full of adorable kitty shots♪ It’s actually pricier than regular magazines… being able to read it every month for free is just wonderful.”

Manami “Kitchen tools and tableware are all properly new and fully stocked♪”
Kumiko “It’s so easy when you can use kitchenware from day one without buying everything new♪”

Manami “Look! With this level of completeness, you could move in practically empty-handed!”
Kumiko “Moving comes with lots of stuff, and there are kitty supplies too, so not having to buy kitchen tools is a huge relief.”

Manami “With a dishwasher★ Cook with joy and clean up with ease♪”
Kumiko “A coveted dishwasher for solo living! Cleanup, which tends to be a hassle, can be done in a snap!”

Manami “There are two refrigerators, plus shelves for each person’s items, so you don’t need to keep things in your own room.”
Kumiko “You can keep what you need where you need it. Share La Cat is outstanding for storage.”

Manami “A beautiful white washstand. Some rooms even have a laundry pole on the balcony, and there’s a dryer, so no problem even if it rains!”
Kumiko “The wash area is bright, and a clean washstand really lifts your spirits♪ On rainy days or when you forgot the laundry, the dryer is a lifesaver!”

Manami “This spaciousness… so healing…!!”
Kumiko “You look like you might fall asleep, Manami-chan (laugh). It’s really spacious! And the colors are so calming. I get why you feel drowsy.”

Manami “This is the type of shower installed even in high-end salons and spas! We Japanese, who truly love baths, will be totally satisfied!”
Kumiko “It looks like a shower you’d find in an overseas hotel, and it even has functions like mist! The accordion curtain provides proper privacy.”

Manami “Being in this lovely space just makes me naturally want to dress up.”
Kumiko “Warm pink and floral patterns. As you can see, even the toilet is a lovely space☆ It naturally puts you in a more demure mood~”

Manami “It’s not two ordinary washing machines… actually, the left one is for kitties and the right one is for residents. This thoughtfulness is just too nice. You can really feel the attention to detail again.”
Kumiko “Exactly! Normally you might think you’d wash kitty things at an outdoor faucet, but look at this consideration! Thoroughly thought out!”

Manami “The center of the building is an atrium, and the first floor is a play area for kitties. Great ventilation, bright, and with a wonderful sense of openness.”
Kumiko “There’s a courtyard where kitties can play! You can peek into the courtyard from the hallway, so you can also watch the kitties◎”

Manami “I wonder if lots of different kitties will play here. You can live with up to two per person. Of course, it’s also OK to live here without keeping a kitty.”
Kumiko “There are cat towers not only in the rooms but also in the hallway, so kitties won’t get bored. If you love kitties but don’t yet have the courage to keep one, you can still play with other residents’ kitties—so nice.”

Manami “The lock is a solid auto-lock. We even set off the beep-beep alarm while filming with the camera like this (laugh). But that made us feel even safer!!”
Kumiko “Here’s the key for the rooms. And yes, we triggered the alarm on the entrance auto-lock, didn’t we? But the security is that solid! Peace of mind for both you and your kitty.”

Manami “What a sweet room! None of the rooms feel cramped, and because they have cushion flooring, the sound is less noticeable even if energetic kitties dash around♪”
Kumiko “There are lots of windows and it’s bright, and every room has excellent storage yet feels spacious! Of course there’s storage under the bed too, so it’s perfect for girls with lots of belongings♪”

Kumiko “Aww, adorable~♪ With curtains included, day one of moving in is comfy! There’s also a mirror!”

Manami “The balcony gets great sunlight! Let’s dry the laundry here too!”
Kumiko “It was really warm, wasn’t it~ Just imagining doing the laundry while watching a kitty bask in the sun… so soothing~!”

Manami “This is important, so I’ll say it twice: the storage is spacious! The storage is big!!”
Kumiko “You said it, you said it! (laugh) There aren’t many share houses with this much in-room storage, so it really makes us happy.”

Manami “Of course you can cook in the common kitchen, but I definitely want a cooking lover to live here and make food for me too! Just kidding… or not?”
Kumiko “Hey now (laugh). You can prep kitty meals or do simple cooking in your room! When you’re worried the smell might linger, you can switch to the common area—nice to have that flexibility.”

Manami “Still, it’s rare to have such a well-equipped kitchen in your own room.”
Kumiko “Totally—there’s even a dishwasher. If you don’t cook, you could even use it for storage.”

Manami “In such a sunny, wonderful place, living with your beloved kitty and kitty-loving friends, we might even miss our chance to marry (laugh). No, seriously—I want to marry someone who loves cats.”
Kumiko “Here’s a cat tower of a different shape. The fluffy pure white feels so nice♪ Manami-chan, you might meet someone wonderful through the kitty-loving connection~”

Manami “Important things are said three times: the storage is spacious! The storage is big! The storage is wonderful!”
Kumiko “Hehe, the third time (laugh). Since it’s sunny, having doors on the storage is a plus point! Your precious clothes won’t fade.”

Kumiko “It’s so spacious that the two of us can fit easily! We can store clothes and kitty items too.”
Manami “Kitty cages, food, and litter actually take up more space than you’d think. My Kotetsu quickly hunts down food and scatters it, so I’m definitely storing the food up high (laugh).”

Manami “Not only the cat tower—you can also choose a desk when you move in.”
Kumiko “The wood texture is lovely. Being able to choose both a desk and a cat tower is above and beyond.”

Kumiko “The kitty-only space in the courtyard. Since it’s an atrium, outside air flows in, and it’s sure to become a kitty favorite! And then… a little incident happened ＞＜!”
Manami “Right… it’s hard to see in the photo, but during the shoot a cat got stuck in a gap and couldn’t move. The owner immediately dismantled (‼) this already-finished play area. We’re so sorry for causing trouble during the busy pre-opening period (crying). Thanks to the owner’s swift response, everything ended without issue. I felt the love and teared up.”
Manami “Rescue successful~! I was impressed by how responsive the owner was during the shoot!”
Kumiko “Truly! It made me think that even while living here, we’d be able to consult freely and feel secure. I’m so glad, Manami-chan♪ Thank you so much, Owner!”

Cat lovers, how was it?
I don’t keep a kitty myself, but staying here made me want to interact with the residents’ kitties!

★Rent	54,000–79,000 yen (common service fee 15,000 yen). A great price where you can live with a kitty and use the Yamanote Line★
★Rules	Female guests and overnight stays (advance notice required) are OK! Completely non-smoking (kitties can relax!) Cleaning is done on a resident rotation, and the manager cleans once a week♪ The manager also takes out the trash in the common areas.
★Water areas	One room has its own kitchen; otherwise, use the common areas.
★Security	SECOM and security cameras installed! The entrance also has an auto-lock for peace of mind! If forced open, an alarm buzzer activates—security is thorough.
★Other	Non-slip flooring for kitties and scratch-resistant walls. No extra fees for these at move-out, so rest easy! You may keep up to two kitties per person♪ Kitties must be kept indoors, and neutering/spaying and regular vaccinations are requested.
