First, I will announce the top 5 properties that received the most inquiries from January 1 to August 31, 2024. Afterwards, I will also introduce notable new properties that opened during the same period.

Inquiry Rankings

Out of the top 5, four properties were in Tokyo and one was in Chiba. While inquiries are concentrated in Tokyo, what makes the property in Chiba attractive? Let's unveil the details.

TOP 5: Social Court Ichikawa

This is the only property from Chiba Prefecture that made it into this ranking. Looking at the specifications of the property, it's clear why. As a sharehouse, it's perfect. Does it have everything? Yes, the facilities are all in place. Moreover, the rooms are spacious, and each comes with its own bath, toilet, and washbasin, which will be reassuring for those who are hesitant to share these facilities. It seems flawless, and yet, the rent is also reasonable, starting in the 50,000 yen range. If you are looking in Ichikawa, access to Tokyo via the Tozai Line isn't bad either, so it might be a good idea to visit the property first.

TOP4: Guest House Cocoya - Shibuya Usuki

The living room has a natural taste.

First and foremost, it's all about location, location, location. This is a women-only sharehouse in an excellent location, yet the rent is reasonably priced. For reference, the current market rents at Shibuya station are as follows (as of 2024).

TOP3: Urban Lodge Nishi-Shinjuku

This property has the best balance! It's close to the station, close to a major terminal station (walking distance to Shinjuku Station), equipped for teleworkers, has very clean common areas, well-equipped water facilities, and even a rooftop, all without any significant drawbacks for a small property. The summers in Japan are too hot, and it's becoming a struggle to walk 10 minutes to the station in 38°C weather. More than ever, being close to the station is important. If you value cleanliness, proximity to the city center, and the possibility of teleworking, you might want to visit this place.

TOP2: Social Place Tokiwadai

A living space perfect for enjoying wine.

The close distance encourages friendly relations.

Enjoying a slow drink by the fireplace is also nice.

Some rooms also include a kitchen and are suitable for two occupants.

Except for one room, all sharehouse units come with ensuite bathrooms. Rooms 201 to 204 even have kitchens! More than a sharehouse, it's like a social mansion with 1K rooms plus lounges for interactions with other tenants. Ideal for those who prefer their own facilities but are slightly tired of living alone and want to casually interact with others.

TOP1: Terrace Hatagaya
