The reason why I do this is that a new project is started, Report of Staying a Night in a Shared House. This is literally that I stay a night in a shared house and make an article of a shared house I stay. The 1st shared house I stay is Share Residence Tama Plaza.

Tama Plaza is one of popular area in Kanagawa prefecture. This shared house is located there.


After finishing work, I got on a train bound for Kanagawa which is opposite to my house.I felt so nervous, so I thought I go home soon. But, Unfortunately, I got to the shared house.

At that time, I never thought that I want to stay in this shared house more. Actually, what happened to me through staying a night with a resident?

This Share Residence Tama Plaza is a large class shared house, so various people live here.

I have met various people who I have never met before.

Although there are negative opinions about a shared house, why do they live in a shared house?

I thought that a shared house is for a student to save money. However, almost all of people are 30s. Actually, they have enough money to live.

I am going to introduce 3 attractive points of Share Residence Tama-Plaza through staying a night.

The 1st is personality. As I talked above, various people live here. Among them, there is a big 4. I couldn’t meet all of them in this time, some of them took care of me and are dependable persons.

They let me use a hair dryer, asked me many things to live comfortably and though an event for me to enjoy with a roommate.

They are really kind and nice people. That’s why they are called big 4.

Not only big 4 but also another resident is also nice. They were welcomed me. For example, they made a dinner and gave me advice about work.

There is no such a thing in my shared house, so I was bewildered. However, I am jealous of this shared house.

The 2nd Attractive point “Connection between a resident”

Through living in a shared house, you can make a new community, expand your network, sometimes make a lover.

There is a funny thing in this shared house. Mr. Watanabe told me the story.

Man resident applicant sent an email to me and in a few days woman resident applicant who has funny email address sent an email. This is usual thing, but they have common point.

Incidentally, they sent an email but, they were dating. Even there are many shared houses in this area, they sent an email to same shared house. It is unbelievable.

I am wondering that there is a wonderful power in this shared house. Actually, there are about 10 couples here. This kind of a shared house is a few.

Recently, a couple is married. Unfortunately, they are already left, so I couldn’t meet them. They met here and they left together. Such a nice story. This story is better than Terrace House, isn’t it?



In other thing, a resident makes a friend of another resident when an event is held and co-worker comes to here. Anyway, there are many connections here.

The 3rd attractive point “Comfort”

The larger a shared house is, the more comfortable a common place is. There is a nice common place in Share Residence Tama Plaza such as a vintage lounge, a bar counter and a fitness studio.


I spent almost all of time in this kitchen.

There is a couch in the kitchen. This kind of shared house is few.

If you stay here, you can smell nice food, someone pours beer and you can listen to someone’s gossip.

Someone is always here and you can hear laugh voice.

I stayed long time here because here is very comfortable. Not only I but also a resident feels same thing. To prove it, many residents came to a kitchen and to a living room. And, initial residents are still living here. It also means that this shared house is very comfortable.


Even I just stayed a night, I can feel attractive points here. I think that I want to stay here more because here is so comfortable even I am shy.

You can have special fun, date with someone and have a nice memory because of a shared house. Again, I realize that share house is nice.
