Today’s share house visit took us to “COURI021 Ogikubo,” located an 8-minute walk from Ogikubo Station.
“I want to have a dog! I want to move in with my beloved dog!” For people who feel that way, there are so many points here that are simply irresistible! There is even a dog run on the rooftop, so your dog is sure to love it too!

When we stepped inside, full of curiosity, we found an incredibly spacious and stylish living room, along with a whole row of private rooms featuring lofts and excellent storage. So exciting!

Mari “The logo on top of the wall is so cute♪ It’s so cute that just looking at it makes you want to go inside.”
Aki “It really is. When the house plaque is stylish like this, your expectations for the property instantly go way up.”

Mari “There are plants in front of the entrance too. Even the dogs will find it soothing! It’s raining today, so it’s a little chilly (>_<)”

Mari “There’s a wooden table and chairs in front of the entrance! On a sunny day, it might be fun to sit there and chat (*^^*)”
Aki “Exactly! It’s unfortunately raining today, but on a sunny day, I feel like we’d end up chatting for ages over a cup of tea!”

Mari “Aki-chan, I’m home. The entrance gets lots of natural light, so it feels bright and pleasant!”
Aki “Welcome back, Mari-chan! As soon as you enter the entrance, there’s a staircase, so the layout lets you go straight to your room without passing through the living room.”

Mari “If you sit on the wooden chair by the entrance, it makes putting on your shoes really easy.”
Aki “That’s so convenient! It’s especially helpful when you’re taking off boots. Mari-chan, you have lots of boots, don’t you～?”

Mari “The shoe storage area is large, so you can keep lots of shoes here♪”
Aki “I have lots of shoes too, so this kind of storage capacity is really important. If you put them sideways, it looks like boots would fit too.”

Mari “The living room is stylish and spacious, just like a café. If you chatted here with your housemates, the conversation would really blossom!”
Aki “Yes, yes, and the table is large, so it looks like a big group could enjoy a party here too!”

Mari “There’s a sofa you can really stretch out on and a big TV. I feel like I’d end up staying here all the time.”
Aki “So comfortable～! I’d better be careful not to doze off and fall asleep here (laughs).”

Mari “There are stylish lights in the living room too♪ They softly light up this lovely space.”
Aki “Exactly. The furniture and appliances are carefully chosen, and together they create such a lovely space. It’s hard to afford this kind of furniture when living alone, so that’s really nice.”

Mari “Look, look. It’s not just the room that’s lovely — even the ceiling is super stylish♪ It has a patchwork-like design, and just looking at it is fun!”
Aki “They even paid attention to details like this in such a stylish way!”

Mari “There’s a little cactus in front of the TV. It might even be fun to watch it grow a little every day (*^^*)”
Aki “Just having a cute cactus there makes the atmosphere of the living room even nicer.”

Aki “Good girl, good girl! Mari-doggy! It’s reassuring that there’s a dedicated space for dogs in one corner of the living room like this.”

Aki “What would I put in it～? If it were me, maybe I’d fill it with colorful flower petals.”

Mari “Woof woof♪ Aki-chan, my owner～♪ Please give me food♪ With a kitchen like this, it looks like you could cook while happily chatting with friends!”
Aki “Mari-chan, here you go! Since it’s an open kitchen, you can cook while seeing the entire living room. I love this sense of openness and connection!”

Mari “Aki-chan, the kitchen is spacious, so we can cook together♪ Even in the morning, if everyone is making their own breakfast separately, it looks like no one would bump into each other♪”
Aki “Yes, yes, let’s have fun cooking together～♪ Or each person could make just one dish, and then three or four people could share everything. That would be nice too.”

Mari “There are so many kitchen utensils♪ With all of these, it looks like you could make just about any kind of dish♪”
Aki “They’re hanging from above, and it feels just like a stylish restaurant.”

Mari “It comes with a lovely rice cooker and an oven microwave too♪ Aki-chan, what would you make～?”
Aki “Maybe gratin or homemade bread. Cooking every day would be something to look forward to.”

Mari “Aki-chan, there are BOXes with room numbers on them! If you put your rice bowl or furikake in here, it would make eating so easy♪”
Aki “It’s nice that each room gets its own kitchen storage box. I think I’d keep my favorite tea and coffee in mine.”

Mari “Aki-chan, the room doors have these cute little plates! The dog pawprints are adorable, but maybe the owner’s footprints are even cuter♪”

Mari “Since the ceilings are high, some rooms even have lofts♪ It looks like sleeping up there would feel so nice♪”
Aki “When there’s a loft, you can make really effective use of the room’s space. Since I have a lot of belongings, I really like loft-type rooms that let you maximize the space.”

Mari “Aki-chan, the built-in closet is so big that we can both fit inside it completely! With this much space, even someone with lots of clothes — or lots of outfits for their dog — would be just fine♪”
Aki “Really! We fit right inside it (laughs). For girls, the more storage there is, the better.”

Mari “You can hang coats this easily too♪ We look forward to welcoming you (^_^) ”
Aki “There are shelves too, so you’d want to make good use of the upper space as well. If it were me, I’d buy storage boxes and keep off-season items there.”

Mari “Aki-chan, this desk with storage is lovely～♪ The window is so big that I might end up just staring outside and not getting any studying done, haha.”
Aki “That happens! I think I’d like to sit here, look outside, and slowly enjoy a cup of tea＾＾”

Mari “This room has a loft! Above all, the ceiling is high, so it feels really open～!”
Aki “That’s right! This is what it looks like from above. Since there’s no furniture, you can gather whatever pieces you like yourself.”

Mari “Aki-chan, from this room, you can actually see the trains! For train lovers, this would be an irresistible room♪”
Aki “You’re right! You can see the railway tracks outside the window! It’s rare to be able to watch trains go by right in front of you!”

Mari “Aki-chan, it might even be fun to turn the shelf I’m in into a little pet house～(^_^) I can breathe a bit in here too, haha.”

Mari “There’s always storage somewhere in every room. In this room, there are shelves that go all the way up to the high ceiling, and plenty of space to place things, so it looks like you could fit a lot in here～(^_^)”
Aki “Exactly, so even people with a lot of large luggage can feel at ease!”

Mari “There are mini kitchens on the 2nd and 3rd floors too♪ When you want hot water right away or need to warm something up, you can do it here in no time♪”

Mari “Aki-chan, there’s even this kind of extra storage too! If you kept bath towels here, it would be convenient, wouldn’t it (^_^) I wonder what everyone puts in here??”

Aki “A share house with a bath where you can stretch out your legs is such a luxury! I love it!”

Mari “Besides the bath, there’s also a shower room♪ Aki-chan, with this, even if you wake up with messy hair in the morning, you can just jump in the shower right away, so it’s reassuring (^_^)”
Aki “Oh, nice! The shower room is located away from the bedrooms, so it looks like you can use it without worrying about noise.”

Mari “Aki-chan, there’s even a washing machine just for pets here♪ Since fur falls off, people who don’t want to wash pet items together with their own things can use this one♪”
Aki “Pet fur can definitely be an issue, so this kind of thoughtfulness is really appreciated.”

Mari “Aki-chan, here are the dryer and washing machines. Lately it rains a lot on weekends, so if you wash things here, they’ll dry in no time (^_^)”
Aki “How convenient! I’ll use the dryer too＾＾ It looks like it would really come in handy on rainy days like today.”

Mari “Aki-chan, there’s a dog run here, and the ground is covered with grass♪ It’s such a lovely place that you’d never believe it was on a rooftop. Just looking at the grass is soothing for us too, isn’t it♪”
Aki “It’s spacious! Not just for the dogs — this would also be a fun place to have a BBQ with your housemates!!”

Mari “Aki-chan, there’s even a foot-washing area on the rooftop～! Please wash my feet too (^_^)♪”
Aki “No, no, Mari-chan, it’s mainly a place for washing the dogs! (laughs)”

Mari “If the dogs play here, I have a feeling both the dogs and the share house friends will become closer too♪”
Aki “On sunny days, having tea time under the blue sky sounds so fun and exciting!”

Mari “A wonderful share house where you can live together with your dog and that even has a dog run♪ I highly recommend it to people looking for a bit of healing in the middle of the city.”
Aki “I agree! It has a lovely living room, and there are loft rooms too, so it’s really exciting.”

What did you think?
There’s no doubt that the rooftop dog run and wooden deck would let everyone share fun times together. Of course, housemates who do not have dogs are also more than welcome! Since there are rooms with lofts as well, the rooms can be used more spaciously and offer good storage capacity too. For people who love trains, I also recommend the corner room where you can watch trains pass along the tracks outside the window.
This beautifully renovated share house, “COURI021 Ogikubo,” is very clean and has a great sense of cleanliness around the water facilities as well. Please do come and visit it at least once♪

★Access	JR Chuo Line, Sobu Line / Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line / Tozai Line “Ogikubo” Station, 8-minute walk. It’s convenient because multiple lines are available!
★Storage	Each room has storage♪ From open closets to closets with doors. There are also rooms with lofts, so you can make effective use of the space.
★Stylishness	Relax with the large dining table, stylish lighting, and sofas you can really sink into! It feels like a café, and conversation with your housemates is sure to flow!
★Rent	59,000 yen to 70,000 yen (common service fee: 12,000 yen + facility management fee: 5,000 yen). The 1st and 3rd floors are pet-friendly, making this a seasonable home where you can live with your dog.
★Rules	Overnight stays by friends are allowed (with advance application)! Smoking is prohibited inside the building (however, there is a designated smoking area). Cleaning is done by residents on a rotating basis, and a cleaning company cleans the water facilities once a month.
★Water Facilities	3 bathrooms, 1 shower booth. The bathrooms are very spacious! We were able to stretch out our legs and relax! * Washing machines: 4 washing machines (free), 4 dryers (free), 1 washing machine for dogs. It’s great that there’s a washing machine just for dogs!
★Security	Since it is a property shared by men and women, it feels reassuring to have people to rely on if anything happens.
★Other	There is a rooftop dog run that dogs will love.
